An irrigation wheel, also known as a wheel line or wheel move system, is a type of mobile sprinkler irrigation used mainly on flat or gently sloped fields. It consists of a long pipeline mounted on large wheels with sprinklers spaced along it. The system is powered by a small motor or manually moved to different positions across the field. It provides even and efficient water distribution for crops like hay, grains, and pasture, and is especially useful for medium-sized farms where centre pivots are too large or expensive.
